We love this backpack. My daughter started middle school this year, backpack is to remain in locker between classes, so it had to be small enough and not overly bulky to fit inside her slim locker (think 8-10inches wide, 12inches deep) We went through four backpacks and messenger bags before trying a Wrangler bag. Mama should have known from the get go that Wrangler would not disappoint. She's got a place for everything now. The zipper recedes far enough down the sides that she can easily take things out and put things away. The shell is thick, tear resistant and waterproof. Been half a year and no fading and no stains from the lawn, driveway or school surfaces. Doesn't seem to hold 'oders'. The straps are comfortable over her shoulders, and she loves the design, it looks exactly as pictured. Her best friend got one after she did, and that one is performing nicely as well. Both of us Mama's believe these backpacks are worth every penny and I will be buying again when my younger children need new backpacks.
