I really like this backpack, it has lots of useful pockets of many different convenient sizes. I got it because I recently got an HP Omen X which is about 18 inches in size, meaning that it literally wouldn't fit in any backpack I had. My laptop fits well and the backpack has a bit of room to spare which is nice. I am able to keep my laptop, its charger, all my notebooks and some school books, as well as a quart size water bottle in this backpack which is excellent in my opinion.Overall, the build quality is study and nice, BUT I am experiencing fraying of the straps in multiple places after only about 2 weeks of using this backpack fully loaded around campus. Now I'm not entirely sure if this is because I have a lot of weight in the backpack as daily it (~35-40 pounds), or if the fault is in the build quality itself. I notice that the thread used on the straps seems to be rather minimal and weak, it isn't necessarily breaking though. It's sort of un-threading from its holes, like a seam that's been sewed alright but not properly secured so the thread just comes out.My solution to the fraying problem: Upholstery thread, a leather needle, and the best sewing skills a Computer Engineering student can muster. I went over the seams and areas that were fraying and everything seems very sturdy now. I don't love that I've had to sew up my backpack, but I do believe that I've solved the build quality that it came with. Another thing to note: I looked at the seam where the straps of the backpack connect to its "main structure" for lack of better words, the connection there seemed far more sturdy that the quality used in the straps and stuff. Even still, I went over that with upholstery thread too.Even with the problems, I still give this backpack 4 stars. Without build quality problems, I'd have given it 5. I really do love it, lots of pockets and room plus I carry lots of weight in it all day rather comfortably.
